Remedy Churchtown
About This Spot
Step inside Remedy Churchtown and you’re immediately embraced by a quietly inviting charm that feels thoughtfully familiar. This is the kind of place where the slow rhythm of a morning unfolds gently — the soft hum of conversation blending with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Natural light streams through large windows, casting a warm glow over wooden tables scattered with the occasional newspaper or notebook, inviting both townsfolk and visitors to settle in without rush.
Whether you arrive for a morning pick-me-up or linger into the afternoon, Remedy strikes a balance between a cozy café and a lively neighborhood spot. Its atmosphere is relaxed yet purposeful, buzzing softly beneath the friendly attentiveness of the staff. From the carefully poured flat whites to glasses of well-chosen whisky or a crisp cider, the drink options mirror the understated care woven through the whole experience.
Food here doesn’t just fill a need — it feels thoughtfully crafted to complement the unhurried mood. Mornings might welcome you with a hint of sweet nostalgia in the form of a Victoria sponge or a rich coffee and walnut cake. The Remedy Full English Breakfast, hearty and well-presented, roots the place firmly in its local context, while lighter, fresher options nod to those seeking a gentler start. Weekends bring a gentle buzz with the Sunday brunch crowd, where friends and families gather over simple, satisfying fare that pairs naturally with the steady flow of conversation and laughter.
Remedy Churchtown is one of those rare local corners where quality ingredients and caring preparation meet in a setting that encourages genuine human moments. It’s a refuge for those who appreciate good company as much as good coffee, and a quietly assured presence in Southport’s Botanic Road community.

I can't recommend this place enough. Came in for coffee, which was really good. The staff are efficient & very friendly. The whole vibe is welcoming & cosy. Not my first time and definitely won't be my last.

A quiet cosy place near the botanic gardens with plenty of options for vegetarian and vegan food. I absolutely loved the food, and the service was good too. I ordered the vegan English breakfast, and it was very good. The courgette fritters and the toasted brown bread come a tad bit well done for my taste, and I might request them to cook them a little less for me next time, more like golden brown than dark brown. But everything tasted great, and provided for a very filling meal. I would highly recommend making reservations, as I saw that almost every table had signs for being reserved. Even we received a table which was due to be vacated in 1.5 hours, but that was plenty of time for us to order, eat and pay.

The cocktails here are absolutely amazing. Great service from Katie. She will personalise cocktails to your taste and has a real passion for mixology. Would highly recommend
